All About All-Inclusives

Are all-inclusive resorts geared toward honeymooners and couples?
Although many all-inclusive resorts do seem to cater to honeymooners and couples, there are other all-inclusive resorts set aside for singles and families. Speak to one of our travel agents and tell them what you are interested in. They will help to guide you in selecting the appropriate all-inclusive resort for your vacation.

What if I forget something?
Well, hopefully, it wasn't anything too important, but if you are talking about toiletries and such, most resorts offer every convenience within their boutiques, pharmacies, and duty-free shops. These shops are well-stocked with resort vacation essentials - from suntan lotion and toiletries to books, magazines and film.

Are all watersports and landsports included in the price?
Depending on the resort location you choose, you have many watersports and landsports to choose from, all included in your packaged price. Speak to one of our travel agents to help you determine which sports you are most interested in, so that you can choose the location which best suits your interests.

Do I need to have a certificate to scuba dive?
No. If you are not qualified, you may receive training at most resort locations. This training will most likely include a swimming test and then some practice dives. Some resorts charge for this service. However, if you are a certified diver, remember to bring your certificate from an internationally recognized dive school or your International "C" card.

How much should I tip?
Nothing. Remember, this is an all-inclusive resort. Tipping is not permitted, though the service is excellent!

How do I handle currency in the resort of a foreign country?
Most resorts have exchange bureaus that will handle the conversions for you. But, you will also find that most merchants do accept U.S. dollars, traveler's checks and major credit cards.

How are special needs handled?
All resorts will try to accommodate the special needs of their physically challenged guests to the best of their ability. Speak to one of our travel agents so that you may choose the location which is best suited to fit your needs. (Some resort locations may not be best due to terrain and multiple level facilities.)

What should I pack?
Anything goes at most resorts. You're on vacation, so you shouldn't be restricted to rigid dress codes. Casual wear such as shorts, tank tops, short sleeved shirts, sundresses and light slacks are perfect fashion. Pack as light as possible, and don't forget your swimsuit and comfortable shoes!

Will my electrical appliances work, or will I need to bring an adapter?
Most small electrical appliances will work in the many all-inclusive resorts you may choose from. You will not need to bring a converter if your appliance uses 110 volts.

Do I need a passport?
Generally, U.S. and Canadian citizens only have to show proof of citizenship with a certified copy of a birth certificate or a current passport; all others must have passports. However, rules vary by destination. Please check with one of our travel agents for all necessary visa or documentation requirements.
